A woman was arrested Monday night in connection with a fatal home invasion in Brooklyn earlier this month, the city police department said.
Suzette Troutman, 45, faces charges that include second-degree murder and assault.
The police department said Monday that it is still looking for at least one person of interest in the case.
Police said a group of people tied up Waldiman Thompson, 91, and his 100-year-old wife in the couple's Bedford-Stuyvesant home Oct. 11.
Thompson's wife Ethlin managed to untie herself and call for help, but Waldiman went into cardiac arrest and died at a local hospital.
Investigators said Troutman was entrusted to take care of the elderly couple, but she allegedly used her knowledge of the home to help plan the home invasion.
Investigators said she waited outside the home in a car while the attack happened.
Dwayne Blackwood, 27, was arrested Friday — the same day as Waldiman Thompson's funeral — in connection to the case. Blackwood is charged with murder, felony assault, and burglary. He has pleaded not guilty.
