A fallen NYPD officer is now memorialized in the Bronx.
Purdy Street near St. Raymonds Avenue in Parkchester has been renamed after Sergeant Paul Tuozzolo.
Mayor Bill de Blasio and top police brass joined the sergeant's family for the unveiling Wednesday.
Tuozzolo was shot and killed last year while responding to a home invasion call in the Bronx.
He was a 19-year veteran of the department.
The mayor later tweeted, "He saved the family in danger and the officers under his command even as he sacrificed himself. We will never forget him."
