NEW YORK - New Yorkers once again faced a rough rail commute after track debris at a Manhattan subway station snarled the Thursday morning rush.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the bulk of delays were on the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 lines.
The agency says debris on the tracks at 72nd Street were reported just after 7 a.m.
Southbound express 2/3 service resumed at 8:33 a.m.
No injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation.
Social media accounts show packed stations and stairwells on the affected lines.
