Demonstrators rallied outside one of Trump's properties in New York City to voice their outrage over his presidency. NY1's Lisa Voyticki filed the following report.
On Inauguration Day, hundreds of protesters were in Lower Manhattan, already hoping their voices can push President Donald Trump out.
"I'm marching to show that it's participation, the people, the working class, everyone that needs to unite to come together to stop the Trump presidency," said one protester.
In a peaceful rally, they made their way from Foley Square to the Trump Building at 40 Wall Street.
"We're here to show people that he doesn't really have a mandate from the people," said one protester.
Groups like Socialist Alternative and refusefascism.org united to form the NYC Coalition to Resist U.S. President Donald Trump.
"The Trump-Pence regime is illegitimate. It's illegitimate because it's fascist, and it has to be prevented from ruling," said one protester.
Others showed up on their own looking for a community.
"I am so upset that Donald Trump is president, and I am in so much pain. I'm devastated for this country and for the world. And so I had to come out. I can't just sit at home."
NY1 did spot a few Trump supporters on the perimeter of the rally. They were not chanting anything. They said they simply wanted to have a presence to show that there are people in New York City that do stand behind the president.
