Police say they have found the family of a 3-year-old boy who was found wandering the streets of Brooklyn alone early Thursday morning.
Authorities say the child was discovered just after 1 a.m. Thursday near Livonia Avenue and Herzl Street in Brownsville.
Sources say officers tracked down the child's grandmother. According to sources, there may have been a mix-up between her and the boy's mother about who was supposed to be watching him.
Police and the Administration for Children's Services are now investigating the case to see if any charges should be filed.
Authorities say the child is still in ACS custody.
