NEW YORK - A woman is facing hate crime charges after stabbing a man on a Manhattan subway over the weekend.

Police say it happened Christmas Day on an uptown 4 train near the 125th Street stop in Harlem.

A 44-year-old man offered a seat to 30-year-old Stephanie Pazmino.

But she apparently told her cousin in Spanish that she didn't want to sit next to a black man.

Pazmino and the man eventually got into an argument and police say she stabbed the victim in the arm and slashed him across the face.

He was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.
