Police say the man arrested in the brutal beating of a 15-year-old girl in the Bronx was on parole for a robbery conviction.
Sources say cops found 27-year-old Shaun Lewis after tracking a cell phone number he gave the victim.
He was charged yesterday with attempted rape, assault, strangulation and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say Lewis and the girl met on the subway early Monday morning, got off together and were walking near Shoelace Park in Williamsbridge.
That's when they say Lewis attacked her.
Investigators say the girl later woke up and flagged someone down, who brought her to the hospital.
Police say she suffered broken bones, bruises, and missing teeth.
Lewis was on parole until 2018.
