The commute for thousands of riders in Lower Manhattan is getting a little easier.

A new underground pedestrian tunnel is now open, connecting Fulton Center to the World Trade Center Transportation Hub.

Dey Street Connection gives commuters direct access to nine subway lines and PATH trains.

Straphangers can make a transfer between the hubs without having to navigate busy streets above-ground.

The 350-foot tunnel also provides underground access to Battery Park City and World Trade Center towers 1 and 4.

For customers with disabilities, the connection offers 10 escalators and 15 elevators for use.

Officials say the passageway cost more than $200 million to build.
