NY1 and NY1 Noticias are celebrating some big wins at the 59th annual local Emmy Awards.
The team behind the NY1 series "How NYC Works" – Roger Clark, Jessica Steiner, Daniel Komarinetz and Ryan Cooney – took home the award for Best Informational-Instructional piece Saturday.
The series takes an in-depth look at how systems across the city function, from the sewer system to paper recycling. The series won two local Emmys last year.
Meanwhile, NY1 Noticias staffers Pablo Bujosa and Philip Klint earned top honors for the Supelia Tattoos feature, and Andrea Marroquin and Alex Gonzalez of NY1's creative service department won two awards for their Somos Uno public service announcement.
NY1's Upstate TWC News colleagues Katie Eastman, Steve Kemeka and Seth Voorhees were also honored with local Emmys.
