Police have identified the person who they believe stabbed a man to death in Harlem on Wednesday night.

The NYPD is trying to find 48-year-old Julio Velazquez.

He's suspected of attacking the 53-year-old victim outside the 116th Street subway station.

Sources say the victim was selling MetroCard swipes at the station shortly before 9 p.m. when he got into an argument with a woman.

According to our sources, Velazquez had a troubled legal history with 37 prior arrests.

Velazquez had a prior arrest in 2013 for criminal possession of a weapon.

They say he punched the woman in the face, and she called another man to the scene.

Police now believe that man was Velazquez and that he and the MetroCard seller got into an argument on the street.

The victim was stabbed in the torso.

He managed to board a 2 train and rode it one stop to 110th Street, where he was found by police.

He was taken to the hospital where he died.
