A 90-year-old artist from San Francisco has brought her paintings to Queens.
Queens College opened its Gertrud Parker: Watercolors and Prints exhibit at their Godwin-Ternbach Museum on Tuesday.
Parker is known for her fiber art sculptures, which are popular on the west coast.
She says after a lifetime of creating sculptures she now challenges herself to use water colors.
"I really loved it. I loved it because it does the same thing gut does. You don't know what's going to happen," said Parker.
The exhibition runs through September 27.
