Former New York Senator Al D'Amato wants Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Andrew Cuomo to sit down and break bread.
D'Amato originally made the offer while appearing on NY1's "Inside City Hall" Tuesday night.
Now he's followed up with a post on his Facebook page saying, "Consider this my formal invitation to Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio to join me at Rao's for a pasta summit. All things can be worked out over meatballs and marinara!"
The ongoing battle between the mayor and the governor came to a head this week when de Blasio ripped Cuomo in an exclusive interview with NY1.
The mayor said the governor lacked leadership and failed to do enough for the city.
The governor responded by saying the mayor is entitled to his own opinion.
There's no word yet on whether the two men will accept D'Amato's offer.
