The Yankees and Mets home openers are right around the corner and baseball officials are urging fans to head to the ballpark early because of increased security measures.
Fans are now required to go through a metal detector before entering stadiums.
The measure was first put into place at Yankee Stadium last August to help people get used to them, but only at one gate.
The team says for the first week of the season, gates will open two and a half hours before game time.
Opening day in the Bronx is Monday.
The Mets' home opener at Citi Field is a week later.
