The city appears to be making good on its pledge to cut down on marijuana arrests.
Back in November, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissoner William Bratton said officers would start ticketing people who were carrying 25 grams of pot or less instead of arresting them.
Now the New York State Division of Criminal Justice says marijuana arrests in December were down 75 percent compared to the year before, from about 1,800 to 460.
NYPD numbers show marijuana summonses are also down 10 percent since the policy change was made.
Anyone caught smoking pot in public is still subject to arrest.
