Red vending machines were recently debuted in Times Square for people to purchase meals, school supplies, livestock and even healthcare to those in need.
It's part of GivingTuesday efforts, which has happened every year since 2012 on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving encouraging people to donate to charitable causes.
The so-called “Giving Machines” are sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and are located in 107 cities around the world, including New York City.
Aaron Sherinian, head of public affairs and media relations for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, joined “News All Day” to talk more about how the machines work, and how New Yorkers can continue to give back this holiday season.
The "Giving Machines" will be located at the Church of Our Saviour in Murray Hill through Jan. 2, 2025.
