The Adams administration's plan to build more affordable housing in every borough — known as the "City of Yes" — passed a key vote by a City Council committee on Thursday.
It all comes as two public housing developments in Chelsea, the Fulton Houses and the Elliott-Chelsea Houses, moved one step closer last month to being demolished and rebuilt.
The city's Public Housing Authority adopted a master development agreement which includes replacing those buildings with new high-rise towers for the more than 4,500 residents across both developments.
State Assemblymember Tony Simone joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday evening to discuss the future of the public housing complexes and more.
Simone represents several neighborhoods in Manhattan, including Chelsea, Hell's Kitchen and Midtown.
