The MTA board approved Gov. Kathy Hochul’s revised congestion pricing plan, which will be in place through 2027.
The fare will be raised in the years to come, going all the way up to $15 in 2031.
Advocates have praised the updated plan, even as critics continue to pursue legal avenues to stop the toll.
But congestion pricing is not the only big proposal that’s being considered this week.
The city’s rezoning plan, known as the “City of Yes for Housing Opportunity,” is facing a final committee hearing Thursday before it heads to the full City Council for a vote.
Dan Garodnick, the director of the Department of City Planning and chair of the City Planning Commission, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to discuss more.
Garodnick is also a member of the MTA board.
