Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump hosted a rally at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island.

Although New York is not a battleground state, control of the House could run through key seats on Long Island that are up for grabs in November.

But Trump’s presence is being met with protests.

Democrats rallied earlier ahead of the former president’s event, including members of the Haitian community, who denounced the anti-immigrant rhetoric from Trump while on the campaign trail.

The Reverend Al Sharpton joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss this and more.
