Two lobbying groups representing landlords across the state are joining forces.

The Community Housing Improvement Program, known as CHIP, and the Rent Stabilization Association have merged into one new group that launched Thursday as the New York Apartment Association.

The group says it wants to improve the relationship between landlords and renters, lower housing operating costs and preserve and develop affordable housing.

Kenny Burgos, the group’s new CEO, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss more.

Burgos is a former state assemblymember who resigned from his seat representing the South Bronx in July.
