Plus, throughout the day the museum will offer special programs about civic engagement and the diversity of American art and culture.

At Brooklyn Museum there will be a marathon reading of Langston Hughes's "Let America Be America Again" from 11am to 6pm. The program is free and open to the public.
"Unnatural Election" Exhibit at NYU

New York artist Andrea Arroyo put out a call out to artists responding to the election. The result, the exhibit "Unnatural Election: Artists Respond to the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election." It features works by nearly 200 artists. It's curated by Andrea and on view at the Kimmel Galleries at NYU. It opens tonight.
Jessica Maffia's "Lanterns for Peace" at 3Squared Gallery

After the election New York artist Jessica Maffia also put out a call, but to anyone who wished to answer the question "What do we do now?" She's placed the answers on LED lanterns that were first on view in New Mexico, and now she's brought the "Lanterns for Peace" exhibit to the 3Squared Gallery on West 24th Street. It also opens tonight.

Looking for more light? Tonight at 5:30 at theaters and theatrical offices and studios in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx, it's the Ghostlight Project. You're invited to come with your own light source that you can turn on and off, and gather to stand for inclusion and equality. There are nearly 100 locations across the city.
Musicians Against Fascism

Tonight, Grammy winner Arturo O'Farrill hosts a great lineup of musicians including Claudia Acuña, Fabian Almazan, Harry Belafonte, Lakecia Benjamin, Rudresh Mahanthappa and many more for "Musicians Against Fascism" at Symphony Space. Tickets are $30 dollars. For those who cannot afford a ticket, 15 minutes prior to the concert unsold tickets will be made available on a "pay whatever you can" basis.
