The Nassau County medical examiner has confirmed the Wal-Mart worker run over by holiday shoppers was trampled to death.
Autopsy results released yesterday revealed that Jimmy Damour, 34, of Queens died from asphyxiation caused by the stampede of shoppers at the Valley Stream store. Original reports suggested he may have suffered a heart attack.
A family attorney says Damour had no training in crowd control.
Nassau police say it appears Wal-Mart did not have enough security outside the store.
Wal-Mart says the store hired additional internal and external security and had barricades in place.
