Police are questioning three people in connection with the fatal stabbing of a bouncer outside a Manhattan bar early Tuesday morning.
Police say a 40-year-old man was stabbed several times in the torso outside the La Casa Del Mofongo on Saint Nicholas Avenue in Washington Heights at around 3:30 a.m.
He was pronounced dead at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
Police say the victim had kicked several men out of the bar before he was stabbed.
"There was an argument between customers and the security guy who worked for us at the time tried to break up the argument and took the guys outside. When he took the guys outside, one of them probably had a knife and tried to stab the other guy, I don't know. But unfortunately the security guy got hurt," said La Casa Del Mofongo manager Franklin Cruz.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
No arrests have been made.
