Police were searching Friday for a suspect wanted in connection with a burglary in the Bronx.

Authorities say it happened on March 26 at the Allerton Pawnbrokers on White Plains Road in the Bronxwood section.

They say the suspect entered the store pretending he wanted to sell something, but when the employee went to the back of the store, the suspect reached behind the counter and stole a box of jewelry.

He is described as in his twenties, wearing blue jeans, a black hooded coat and a red Cincinnati Reds baseball hat.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
