Pedestrians can sit and relax in Times Square and Herald Square, but they will soon have seven miles of city roads to themselves.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg today is expected to announce the return of the Summer Streets program.

The city will close off a nearly seven-mile stretch of city streets from the Brooklyn Bridge all the way up to 72nd Street.

The streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on three Saturdays - August 8, 15 and 22.

The city opened the stretch to bicycles and, pedestrians last August.

There will also be Pilates, kickboxing and yoga classes along the route.
