Gillibrand Keeps Two Guns In Her Home

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's revealed that she keeps guns under her bed, in an interview published today.
Gillibrand's pro-gun stance has been closely watched since her appointment to fill Hillary Clinton's Senate seat.
The senator told Newsday that she and her husband keep two rifles under their bed to protect their upstate home.
A spokesperson says the senator always practices gun safety procedure – and keeps the guns unloaded. He also added that now that the information has become public, the guns will be moved for security reasons.
Since her selection, Gillibrand has been criticized for championing the rights of gun owners.
Her spokesperson points out that while Gillibrand is a strong believer in Second Amendment rights, which is separate from her commitment to get illegal guns off of the streets.
